How to Delete or Deactivate Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and TikTok Accounts – It is good to disable or delete your account when you stop using a social networking profile or website. Facebook

On Facebook, you can either deactivate your Account or delete it.

If you deactivate your Account:

  • You can’t see your schedule or search for your Account unless you reactivate the Account.
  • Some things may still be visible (for example, private messages you have sent).

To deactivate your Account:

  1. Click on Facebook’s top right.
  2. Select Parameters & Privacy > Parameters.
  3. On the left column, click on Facebook Information.
  4. Click on Disable and Delete.
  5. Choose Account disables, then follow the prompts to confirm Account disablement.

If your Facebook account is disabled, but Messenger still applies:

  • At Messenger, you can talk to your friends.
  • In your Messenger interactions, your Facebook profile image will still be visible.
  • Other individuals can look for a message from Messanger.

If you delete your Account:

  • Your Account can’t be reactivated.
  • You’ll have 30 days to cancel the deletion of your Account, after which you cannot access or get your Account.
  • You will permanently remove your profile, pictures, videos, and anything else that you added.
  • You can’t use Facebook Messenger anymore.
  • You cannot use your Facebook login for other apps, such as Spotify or Instagram, which you could have signed into using your Facebook account. To retrieve these accounts, you may choose to contact apps and websites.
  • There may still be information that you send to your friends after deleting your Account, such as messages you sent. Copies of your messages are preserved in the boxes of your friends.

To delete your Account:

  1. Click on Facebook’s top right.
  2. Select Parameters & Privacy > Parameters.
  3. On the left column, click on Facebook Information.
  4. Click on Disable and Delete.
  5. Choose Delete Account permanently and then Continue to Delete Account.
  6. To enter your password, click Delete Account, then click Continue.

Instagram

You can either deactivate or permanently remove your Account momentarily.

If you temporarily disable your Account:

  • You will be concealed with your profile, images, comments, and pleasures.
  • By logging back in, you can reactivate your account.

To temporarily disable your Account:

  1. Log in from a mobile browser or PC to instagram.com. Within the Instagram application, you cannot temporarily disable your Account.
  2. Tap or click on the upper right of your profile and select Profile, and then choose Edit Profile.
  3. Scroll down, tap, and choose to Delete my Account temporarily in the lower right-hand corner.
  4. Select an option from the dropdown next to Why is your Account disabled? And enter your password again. Only when you select a reason from the menu and enter your password will the option to disable your account show.
  5. Tap or click Disable Account Temporarily.

If you delete your Account:

  • You will be permanently deleted from your Account, profile, photos, videos, comments, likes, and followers.
  • You can’t log in or add this username to a different account with the same username.
  • Unable to revive deleted accounts.

To delete your Account:

  1. Go from a mobile browser or PC to the Remove Your Account page. You will initially be asked to log in if you are not connected to Instagram on the web (you cannot delete your Account from within the Instagram app).
  2. Choose an item from the dropdown next to Why is your Account deleted? And enter your password again. Only once you have selected a reason from the menu will the option of permanently deleting your Account emerges.
  3. Tap Delete my Account permanently.

Twitter

You disable your Account on Twitter and permanently erase it after 30 days. Your Account will be disabled during this period. Disabling on mobile devices is not available and must be done through Internet access twitter.com.

Before deactivating your Account, you should know:

  • During these 30 days, you can reactivate your Account at any time by logging in. You will permanently erase your account if you don’t log in/reactivate it for 30 days.
  • To change your username or email address, you do not need to disable your Account; they may be changed in your preferences at any time.

To deactivate:

  1. Sign up to web-based twitter.com.
  2. Under your profile icon, click on the Settings and Privacy option.
  3. Click Deactivate on the bottom of the page from the Account tab.
  4. Read details on disabling the Account and then click Disabling @Username.
  5. If prompted, enter your password and confirm to proceed by clicking the Account Disable option.

Snapchat

You can erase your Snapchat account just permanently. It takes 30 days to delete your Account when the Account is disabled.

Your pals can’t communicate with you or interact with you throughout these 30 days during this time. Your Account, including your friends, snaps, chats, and stories, will be permanently erased after 30 days. You won’t get your username anymore.

To delete your Account:

  1. From any browser, visit this page. The Snapchat App won’t work.
  2. Complete your Account’s username and password to delete.
  3. Choose Login and re-enter the same information.
  4. Choose to remove my Account from the bottom.

You can log back onto Snapchat as you would usually use your username and password in the 30 days following the deletion of your Account. This reactivates your Account and prevents the deletion of your Account.

TikTok

You can remove your Account on TikTok just permanently. This is irreversible and permanent. At no time can a deleted account be retrieved.

If you delete your Account:

  • You can’t log in to TikTok using the Account.
  • The videos you have posted are going to lose access.
  • You will lose access to the things you have purchased and cannot request a refund.
  • Shared information can still be viewed by others, such as chat messages.

To delete your Account:

  1. Go to your profile tab. Go to your profile tab.
  2. On the top right corner, tap the Settings icon.
  3. Tap Manage My Account> Remove Account. Account management.
