What You’ll Do
- Utilize your ultrasonic testing (UT) and phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) expertise to conduct inspections of critical components within the Siemens Energy Electrical Components Plant.
- Play a vital role in quality control by meticulously documenting your findings and ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers to analyze your inspection results and identify opportunities to improve procedures and quality instructions.
- Train and mentor QA technicians in various NDT techniques, helping to maintain and elevate certification standards across the team.
- Take ownership of your work environment, maintaining NDT equipment, performing calibrations, and recommending safety improvements.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a commitment to safety, being prepared to adjust your schedule for training or production needs, and working overtime or weekends as required.
You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related scientific field (or equivalent experience).
- Level II certifications in UT and PAUT. Experience with Boroscoping and Level II certification in PT (penetrant testing) are a plus.
- A minimum of 3 years of NDE experience.
- A strong understanding of gauging, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures. Familiarity with the metric system is essential.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and a desire to learn SAP.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
