What You’ll Do

  • Utilize your ultrasonic testing (UT) and phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) expertise to conduct inspections of critical components within the Siemens Energy Electrical Components Plant.
  • Play a vital role in quality control by meticulously documenting your findings and ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers to analyze your inspection results and identify opportunities to improve procedures and quality instructions. 
  • Train and mentor QA technicians in various NDT techniques, helping to maintain and elevate certification standards across the team. 
  • Take ownership of your work environment, maintaining NDT equipment, performing calibrations, and recommending safety improvements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a commitment to safety, being prepared to adjust your schedule for training or production needs, and working overtime or weekends as required.

You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have

  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related scientific field (or equivalent experience).
  • Level II certifications in UT and PAUT.  Experience with Boroscoping and Level II certification in PT (penetrant testing) are a plus. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of NDE experience.
  • A strong understanding of gauging, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.  Familiarity with the metric system is essential.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and a desire to learn SAP.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
