Summary
A fabricator/welder reads blueprints, follows design dimensions, and meets quality standards and deadlines. The role includes maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe work environment. Must pass a welding test.
Essential Functions
- Interpret dimensional drawings for fabrication layouts.
- Weld parts to quality standards.
- Clean and prep products for painting.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding.
- Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Use and oversee industrial welding machinery.
- Monitor machinery for proper usage and temperature.
- Follow and enforce safety regulations.
- Inspect welds for structural soundness and quality.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2+ years of fabrication and/or print reading experience.
- Trade school or higher education.
- Welding certification.
- Experience with Flux, MIG, arc welding, cutting torches, and welding machinery.
