Biographical information

Asa was born Bukola Elemide to Nigerian parents in Paris, France. Her family moved back to Nigeria when she was two years old. Asa was raised in a small town near Lagos, in Nigeria’s south-western region. Asa returned to France after 20 years in Nigeria, and it was there that her musical career began.
