This role involves leading and managing a team to support our Client’s Emergency Management initiatives. You will be responsible for overseeing the project’s technical budget, schedule, requirements, contractual obligations, and communications, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality work on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Development: Develop project scope and fee quotations, assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts following HNTB’s Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).

Client Liaison: Act as the primary liaison with clients, managing project teams to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring client satisfaction. Assist with project scoping and contract negotiations.

Technical Tasks: Perform research, analysis, report writing, design, and plan preparation for assigned projects within your area of expertise.

Project Execution: Implement HNTB’s Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on projects, leading the development and execution of project management plans. Supervise and mentor the project team to achieve overall objectives.

Staff Coordination: Work with managers on project staffing needs, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession planning. Support performance and compensation reviews.

Business Development: Collaborate with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions on business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for strategic projects. Lead proposal development and presentation preparations.

Recruitment and Staff Development: May be responsible for recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining staff, including performance and compensation reviews and succession planning.

Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or in place of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

Preferred: Experience in transportation emergency management and working with transportation agencies. Ability to prepare and conduct incident after-action reviews, track associated reports, develop severe weather plans, and design and execute various exercises. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
