Do you have a passion for hospitality and a desire to create unforgettable experiences? The Madison Club, a luxurious private residential community in La Quinta, California, is seeking a seasonal, full-time Busser/Runner to join their Food and Beverage Service Department for the Winter 2024-2025 season (September 23rd, 2024 – June 17th, 2025).
What You’ll Do
- Deliver food and beverages to guests, ensuring each dish reaches the right person.
- Keep tables clear and organized, checking water glasses and replacing silverware throughout the service.
- Assist kitchen staff in plating dishes according to specifications, guaranteeing a smooth and efficient food service experience.
- Prepare the runner station for each meal period, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring everything is well-stocked.
- Provide exceptional service to members and guests, answering questions about menu items and exceeding their expectations.
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure food quality and presentation standards are met.
- Attend all mandatory briefings, meetings, and training sessions.
You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have
- A high school diploma or equivalent education.
- At least three months of experience in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant, resort, or private club environment.
- A strong understanding of HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points) and local food safety regulations.
- A positive attitude, a professional demeanors, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (long hours may be required).
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent English language skills; additional languages are a plus.
- The physical stamina to work long shifts, including standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
