Scholarships at Western Kentucky University

Western Kentucky University offers a variety of scholarships to current and former students and alumni. Many notable graduates have made significant contributions to society. Many others have chosen to serve in the military forces of our country. One way for these warriors to show their gratitude is to contribute to one or more of our university scholarships.

Scholarships for High School Students Program allows students to choose from a variety of general and specific awards based on academic accomplishment. Juniors, seniors, and high school students can apply for general rewards. Chemistry majors, engineering majors, business majors, and medical professions can all apply for specific rewards. An application must be filed to the institution to be considered for a scholarship in a certain field of study. An individual must meet the qualifying conditions to be considered for any award.

You must be a full-time student at Western Kentucky University to apply for the full-time student scholarship. The application deadline is usually around the middle of September. You must have been enrolled in a full-time program for at least one year to be considered for an award in the fall of the academic year.

Some academic scholarships are given to specific departments or groups of students. Scholarships for nursing students, for example, are available. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required for nursing students. Critical care, emergency medicine, trauma care, pediatric, adult, and internal medicine are just a few of the departments.

Students must apply for as many scholarships as possible to be considered for the scholarship. They should apply to Kentucky State University, the University of Kentucky, Richmond College, ITT Technical College, and the University of Kentucky.

The university offers the Graduate Assistants Scholarship to professional students who have finished their graduate degrees. FAFSA applications are required for full-time students enrolled in approved universities in Kentucky. The deadline for graduate assistants scholarship applications is January 1st. Graduate assistants in any program are not compelled to accept the offer. To promote the university’s cultural diversity, the University of Kentucky has placed a strong priority on enrolling underrepresented minority students in undergraduate and graduate programs.
