The Maryland Department of Transportation, Maryland Aviation Administration (MDOT MAA) is looking for a talented fixed asset accountant to join our team at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).
What You’ll Do
- Manage the entire lifecycle of BWI Marshall Airport’s fixed assets and property.
- Track and record all asset data in the MDOT Financial Management Information System (FMIS).
- Coordinate the acquisition and transfer of assets between departments.
- Conduct annual fixed asset inventories and advise department heads.
- Ensure all assets are properly documented and accounted for.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or 30 credit hours in Accounting + 3 in auditing).
- 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed assets and general ledger.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
