How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Conduct detailed cost breakdown analyses (including cost estimation) and negotiate the lowest total cost to support divisional cost-saving goals.
  • Drive cost reduction and resourcing programs to support strategy execution, ensuring minimal disruption to existing supply chains.
  • Lead sourcing and negotiations for aerospace and industrial components to optimize costs, contract coverage, and secure supply continuity.
  • Manage a range of contractual and price negotiations with new and existing optimizers to reduce commercial risk and enhance commercial advantage.
  • Maintain close partnerships with internal customers, prioritize customer care, and demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
  • Define the sourcing strategy in collaboration with cross-functional counterparts and support from Global Commodity Managers (GCMs), ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and implement tailored business initiatives and metrics following the commodity strategy and overall business objectives.
  • Plan negotiations, define awarding strategies, and prepare sourcing board approvals, adhering to the suppliers defined by the commodity strategy to maximize pooling potential.
  • Negotiate contracts locally, regionally, or across multiple sites, covering prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other specifics.
  • Support and maintain supplier segmentation by actively representing customer views in Commodity Circles.
  • Analyze local and regional market trends to inform commodity strategy.
  • Identify partner requirements and support the execution process, providing input into sourcing decisions.
  • Monitor supplier performance with support from Commodity leadership and communicate with relevant stakeholders when necessary.
  • Generate, document, and implement savings measures, track and report key metrics. Drive early procurement and supplier involvement, cost-out activities, and identify procurement risks and opportunities, implementing respective measures.
  • Identify potential contractual items and collaborate with strategic commodity management to ensure inclusion in existing contracts or the establishment of new contracts.
  • Work with the commodity team to implement process improvements and ensure adherence on-site.

What You Bring

  • Ability to work in a complex, dynamic global organizational environment.
  • 8 or more years of experience in strategic sourcing and commodity management.
  • Exceptional Excel skills.
  • Experience working with a global supplier base in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial, contractual, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of component manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Preferably, a bachelor’s degree or CPM/CPSM certification.
