How to Overcome Life’s Crises – Crises are an unavoidable part of life. Whether we overcome or succumb to them is determined by how we respond.
The globe is currently experiencing a global crisis of unparalleled dimensions, the COVID 19 plague, at the time of writing. Many people have given up hope.
Many people were in denial and became engrossed in a slew of conspiracy ideas. None of these reactions, however, are proper.
What are our options for dealing with and overcoming this? God desires for His people’s lives to bear witness to His faithfulness as Father and Friend.
He has provided us with instruments that will enable us to live lives that are extraordinarily mighty and victorious. As a result, God’s children can overcome any situation.
First, as previously discussed, with the tool of faith, and second, with the tool of prayer, both of which are extremely powerful weapons. Let’s get started.
A few thoughts on prayer in general
We pray and continue to pray because we understand from God’s Word that prayer is a requirement for divine intervention.
It’s also a manifestation of our desire for closeness with God.
Furthermore, prayer is a show of God’s dedication to our well-being, something many people may never have realized. This is something to think about.
In essence, God wants to help us, which is why he wants us to pray. First, He understands that we will dry up if we do not have communion with him. And He understands that He won’t be able to help us unless we come to Him with our petitions. God must respond to man’s prayers.
A few prayer principles
Here are a few short principles that will enable us to enter a realm of prayer that will make us virtually unstoppable in this climate.
In the case of Covid-19, this spiritual act of prayer must, of course, be supported by natural and appropriate measures of protection and adherence to natural hygiene laws, but the same is true in all crisis situations.
It is necessary to pray.
1 2 TIMOTHY 2:8 TIMOTHY 2:8 TIMOTHY 2:8 (HCSB) 8 As a result, I WANT ALL THE MEN IN THE WORLD TO PRAY, RAISING HOLY HANDS WITHOUT ANGER OR ARGUMENT.
5:17 (HCSB) 1 THESSALONIANS 17 PRAY ON A DAILY BASIS.
Not as a rite of passage or a simple act of submission but as agents of transformation.
Prayer is not recommended; it is required. It is critical for our well-being that God be able to assist us in overcoming.
Understanding that prayer is the tool of growth rather than proof of growth would free many people from praying. And, as previously said, prayer is a requirement for divine intervention.
As a result, we pray to the Lord. We’ve been praying for the current issue for a long time, organizing virtually daily internet prayer gatherings.
Many people are depressed and concerned about the future. Some people were initially oblivious to the gravity of the situation; in the early days of the lockdown, they were glib and flippant, but they quickly realized the planet was in danger. Father Intervene, Father, deliver the nations from the coronavirus’s affliction. Free individuals from their fear.
We dismantle the spirit of fear’s power. May people be liberated.
We beg you, Father, to intervene in the tides of suicide and to calm our anxieties about the future.
Reveal your powerful arm, Father, as you devastated Sennacherib’s armies. Send down your angels to put an end to the plague that has spread over the globe.
Allow your vengeance to fall on anyone who has benefited from this scenario. Avenge the tens of thousands of individuals who have died.
We beg you, Father, to console these families who are grieving and sobbing right now. We request that you intervene on behalf of the orphaned and widowed.
We were pleading with you to save the nations from this disease. In the name of Jesus, let this dreadful virus be dried up from the roots. In the name of Jesus, we obliterate evil, destroying its power and impact on our age.
Oh, God, we beg you to help us. Touch the leaders and provide wisdom to them. Allow them to comprehend. You’ve claimed that a fool is someone who relies on his own understanding.
So go out to them and impart wisdom to them because they are lost. They are at a loss for what to do, but we are pleading with you.
Will You do not judge them, even as Jehoshaphat cried out to you in the face of the opposing armies? We, we don’t know what to do, he murmured, and our eyes are on you. We beg you, Lord, to help us; we don’t know what to do. Our gaze is fixed on You.
In the name of Jesus, Father put an end to this heinous interruption of your plan for humanity.
God must respond to man’s prayers. God asks us to pray because He wants to answer our prayers and bless us. If you follow that order, you will be able to remove things from your life that are dragging you down and causing crisis circumstances.
To pray is to position ourselves for divine deliverance, not to follow a useless religious routine imposed by God. God is eager to assist.
The effectiveness of prayer is the second principle of prayer.
Prayer has proven to be effective.
5:13-16 JAMES 5:13-16 JAMES 5:13-16 JAMES (HCSB)
13 DOES ANYONE ELSE IN YOUR PARTICULAR PARTICULAR PARTICULAR PARTICULAR HE NEEDS TO PRAY. IS THERE ANYONE HAPPY? PRAISES SHOULD BE SUNG BY HIM. 14 IS THERE ANYONE IN YOUR PARTICULAR IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, HE SHOULD CALL FOR THE CHURCH’S ELDERS, WHO SHOULD PRAY OVER HIM AFTER ANOINTING HIM WITH OLIVE OIL. 15 THE SICK PERSON WILL BE SAVED AND RESTORED TO HEALTH BY FAITH PRAYER; IF HE HAS COMMITTED SINS, HE WILL BE FORGIVEN. 16 AS A RESULT, CONFESS YOUR SINS TO ONE ANOTHER AND PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER IN ORDER TO BE HEALED. THE EFFECT OF A RIGHTEOUS PERSON’S URGENT REQUEST IS VERY POWERFUL.
The effectiveness of prayer is clearly demonstrated in this verse. This is important to emphasize because many individuals pray out of desperation rather than hope.
First, let’s look at the samples that have been provided.
Anyone who is suffering, according to the apostle James, should pray. To put it another way, prayer is the remedy to their pain.
Then anybody who is sick should use the same method, which is prayer. He’d be prayed over and anointed with oil. There is no space for doubt in the apostle’s words.
He claims that the sick person will be saved by faith prayer and that the prayer will be effective. Whether you’re sick, in a crisis, or in some other situation, prayer will help you get through it.
Believe that God hears you as you pray your way through this crisis, and allow Him to fill you with serenity and calm. Repent of your sins if necessary.
As the text states, forgiveness exists. If sin is repudiated, it will no longer be a barrier to divine intervention.
