Lead Electrical Engineer – Raizan Solutions (Troy, MI)

Job Description

Raizan Solutions is searching for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team! In this direct-hire role, you’ll provide crucial engineering support across various stages of the project lifecycle, collaborating closely with clients, estimators, project managers, and VDC engineers.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and oversee electrical and lighting systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and adhere to industry standards.
  • Manage and schedule the work of 3D modelers and 2D drafters (VDC/BIM specialists).
  • Craft and revise project specifications under the guidance of a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Prepare and review production submittals for accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with estimators by attending job site visits, defining project scope, and generating bills of materials.
  • Take initiative on additional tasks assigned by management.

Who You Are

  • Electrical Engineer degree (a must!).
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical contracting (preferred) or with an Architectural/Engineering firm.
  • Revit software proficiency is essential (hit the ground running!).
  • Proven ability to review, edit, and write clear and concise project specifications.
  • Experience with production submittals, project scope definition, and bill of materials creation is a plus.
  • A self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Independent worker with initiative, prioritization skills, and the ability to see projects through to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are a must.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% of the time (multiple states).
