Job description

BNP Paribas North America seeks an Immigration Specialist to support the design, management, and communication of our immigration program. This role involves providing expert consultation on immigration matters and assisting the Head of CIB Americas International Mobility with various activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Immigration Management and Support
    • Collaborate with external immigration counsel to ensure compliance with immigration laws.
    • Provide updates to HR, recruiters, managers, and candidates throughout the visa process.
    • Initiate and manage non-immigrant and immigrant visa requests.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and immigration counsel for accurate documentation.
    • Monitor visa end dates and manage extension approvals.
    • Handle business visitor requests and process related vendor invoices.
  • Compliance and Process Improvement
    • Stay informed on trends and developments in immigration.
    • Maintain compliance and quality controls, assisting with audits as necessary.
    • Review and assist with documentation to ensure accurate process depiction.
    • Support adherence to business objectives through data analysis and reporting.
  • Special Projects and Program Management
    • Support major projects like acquisitions and restructuring.
    • Collaborate with other groups for service delivery strategies.
    • Develop and conduct training programs for employees and management.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in immigration roles.
  • Experience with external immigration counsel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools and applications.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a service delivery model with shared services.
  • Experience with ERP systems like PeopleSoft/Oracle.

Salary and Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $95,000 to $120,000, based on experience.
