This is a social investment program for job creation and empowerment initiatives run by the Federal Government of Nigeria. It is an FGN program aimed at reducing unemployment by assisting unemployed people in finding work and engaging them in productive activities while they are unemployed.
The goal of the programs of NPower includes;
To decrease the country’s unemployment rate.
To create a system that allows for the transfer of employability, entrepreneurial, and technical skills.

The N-POWER BUILD and the N-POWER KNOWLEDGE
N-POWER TEACHER CORPS
This is a voluntary program that will train and employ 500,000 unemployed graduates. They would then be given computing devices, each containing data for their program under this program. In four units, these enthusiastic graduates will provide teaching, instructional, and advisory services.
N-POWER TEACH
Individuals participating in this program would work as assistant teachers in primary and secondary schools and assist in bringing education to underserved areas. This program would allow them to gain work experience and better prepare them for the workplace.
N-POWER HEALTH
A portion of the 500,000 graduates in this category would be trained to work as public health assistants. In addition, professionals would train them to provide essential health diagnostic services in their deployed area.
N-POWER COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Members who had been selected for this would be sent to communities to teach in areas such as Adult Education and Civil Education.
N-POWER AGRO
The volunteers who will be deployed as part of this program will act as liaisons between researchers and farmers, providing them with advice on improving farming practices to make Nigeria food self-sufficient.

Because the program is not a job, you will only be paid a monthly allowance of NGN23,000 for the duration of the two-year program. Because it is not a job, and engaged graduates would become disengaged, and another set of graduates would become engaged, so it is in your best interest to be looking for jobs or, better yet, creating one for yourself. The body would also be in charge of dispatching participants to the states where the program would be carried out. One of the best aspects of this program is that successful applicants will be required to participate in a mandatory employability and entrepreneurship skills development program.
N-POWER KNOWLEDGE
The N-POWER KNOWLEDGE program is a “train to job” initiative that aims to accelerate technological and creative advances, resulting in a more diverse economy. 25,000 non-graduates would be involved, with each receiving a computer and other information products he would require to succeed. This is also divided into sections, which are as follows:
N-POWER CREATIVE
This program would involve 5,000 young people to train them and bring out their creativity to become world-class service exporters. They’d be trained in animation, graphics design, post-production, and scriptwriting, among other things. The program is scheduled to run for three months (1-month theory, two projects). Participants would either receive internship opportunities at home or abroad or be connected to job or market opportunities after completing the program.
