Have you already jumped on the Triller bandwagon and joined the millions of other creators? If not, there’s still time to try your hand at being the next dubbing sensation.
Triller is a fantastic blogging site with all the resources you need to make your videos compelling, so keep that in mind. The parts that follow will walk you through the process of building your account. There are also some excellent choices.
Creating a Triller Account
This article assumes you’ve already downloaded and installed the Triller app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. As a consequence, no details will be given in this regard. Let’s get started. Get your fingers ready to tap.
The best part about Triller is that it instantly activates the video feed. Not that this is any different from, say, TikTok, but it does provide an opportunity to complete the account development process.
There are a few pop-ups to deal with, and the software advises you that it gathers your data to provide you with better service. Of course, the Settings menu gives you the option to restrict this.
Tap the individual icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to begin creating your account. This will take you to the “Sign up/login” tab. To start the operation, tap on it.
As soon as you press the button, a pop-up menu with numerous sign-in options appears. You can also sign in with your email or phone number if you don’t want to use social media.
There is no right or wrong way to do this. We’ll use the email options for this post. However, if you want more friend feedback, you can use the social media options.
Fill in your email address, pick a user name, and create a password for your account. Now that you’ve gotten that out of the way, you can concentrate on making your account look as professional as possible.
Notice that if you want to sign up with social media, you cannot type your email address. Furthermore, there is no identity validation function to pull you away from the app.
How to Set Up Your Triller Account
It’s simple to add more credentials and make the profile as enjoyable or goofy as possible once you’ve built the account. First, click the gear icon in the upper right corner of your profile window to begin editing.
The first thing you can do is make some new friends. To do so, press the “Invite” button to attach invites to people in your contacts. Alternatively, you can search for friends by tapping the person + icon in the page’s upper right corner.
Account, Privacy, Video Development, and Legal are the sections of the Settings menu. This segment will not deal with legal problems because they are something you can’t fix. However, it isn’t a bad idea to look at other possibilities.
Triller has auto-play, auto-scrolling switched on by default, and the first tab allows you to change the password. This can be inconvenient, so feel free to disable these functions.
Regarding privacy, the account is set to public, which means that data can be collected by default. It could be preferable to set it the other way around, with the account set to private and data collection turned off. Before you upload a video, you can always change the privacy setting.
Notice that you can also sync your phone or Facebook contacts here. It’s worth noting that the app doesn’t appear to pull email contacts.
There’s no need to adjust anything because the resolution is set to 1920×1080, which is the best. The best part is that you can also activate the selfie mirror from the same menu.
Tip: You can clear the app cache, log out, or contact Triller by clicking on Feedback if you scroll down to the bottom of the Settings menu.
Editing Your Profile
With the settings out of the way, you can exit the menu and select “Edit Profile” from the drop-down menu underneath your profile photo. This is where you can update your name, upload a new profile photo, and link your Triller account to your Instagram account.
The menu also allows you to upload a cover photo and write a compelling bio to make things more interesting. It’s essential to bear in mind that the biography can only be 140 characters long. You can invite mates, change your password, or transparent surplus data further down the “Edit Profile” menu.
Overall, everything seems intuitive and easy to use, and setting it all up should take no longer than five minutes.
Is Triller a TikTok Killer?
Aside from the clever wordplay, it would be a mistake to believe that Triller presents a significant threat to TikTok or any other social media app. But, if it builds on the functionality, you already know and love, that’s a different story.
