Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable individual for a full-time Bookkeeper position in New York, NY. This role is responsible for preparing financial statements, supporting audit processes, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations, and improving financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements per GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Support external and internal audits with necessary documentation and data.
- Ensure compliance with SEC and other statutory requirements.
- Review financial procedures and internal controls to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with the finance team to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and standards.
- Work closely with auditors, addressing findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Analytical mind with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Superb organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
