Who is Victoria Averbach, and what is known about her past relationship with her ex-husband, Willie Aames?

Victoria Averbach, also known as Victoria Weatherman, is recognized as the first wife of American actor and filmmaker Willie Aames. The couple married on December 15, 1979, after dating for some time. Their union lasted four years, culminating in a divorce in 1984. During their marriage, they welcomed a son, Christopher Aames, born on June 25, 1981.

Details about Victoria's personal life and background remain scarce, as she has maintained a low public profile over the years. Her ex-husband, Willie Aames, born Albert William Upton on July 15, 1960, in Newport Beach, California, gained fame for his roles in television series such as "Eight Is Enough," where he portrayed Tommy Bradford, and "Charles in Charge," playing Buddy Lembeck. He also starred as the titular character in the direct-to-video series "Bibleman" from 1995 to 2003.

Aames began his career as a child actor in the late 1960s, with appearances on shows like "Gunsmoke," "The Wonderful World of Disney," and "The Courtship of Eddie's Father." He later transitioned to roles behind the scenes, working as a director, producer, and screenwriter. In addition to his entertainment career, Aames served as a cruise director for Regent Seven Seas Cruises and subsequently worked for Oceania Cruises and Viking (Ocean) Cruises.

Following his divorce from Victoria, Aames faced personal and financial challenges, including struggles with substance abuse and periods of homelessness. He candidly discussed these hardships, acknowledging the rapid decline from his peak success: "Then suddenly there was no job, no bank account, no wife, no child. I never dreamt it could happen that fast."

Despite these setbacks, Aames persevered and rebuilt his life, finding stability in both his personal and professional endeavors.
